The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a combined test
for admission to the first year of various course in
Engineering & science at the seven Indian Institutes of
Technology, located at Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur,
Kharagpur, Mumbai & Roorkee and The Institute of
Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and The
Indian School Mines, Dhanbad.
Though perceived with apprehension by the aspirants, the
